One Cup Fruit Cobbler
This recipe is one of those handed down to me from my Mom. There are two things I love about this pie. 1. It's versatile as you can use any fruit. 2. It's just plain buttery delicious.
The above picture is of a blackberry cobbler. We always pick and freeze various fruits when they are in season so we are assured we will still be able to have fruit in the winter. My favorite thing about these cobblers is the crunchy buttery edges. The sweet gooey part isn't half bad either. lol
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
1 cup self rising flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Place butter in a large baking dish and place in oven to melt. In a mixing bowl mix sugar, milk and flour stir until mixed well. Take melted butter out of oven. Pour flour mixture into butter (do not stir). Now drop or spoon thawed, fresh or even canned fruit that has been drained (blackberries, blueberries, cherries, peaches or strawberries) and once again, do not stir. Bake for approximately 45 min until top is golden brown. If you happen to have some vanilla ice cream by all means serve it on top of this yummy pie.
